Wireless elevator cameras in New York
New York has one of the world's densest collections of high-rise buildings, and many of its elevators run on cabling that was never designed for video.
Made for older buildings
In pre-war co-ops and older office towers, running new traveling cable means long outages and unhappy residents. A wireless link adds live HD video while the existing cable stays as it is.
Busy elevators stay in service
Installation is fast, so the elevator is usually back in service the same day, which matters in buildings where every car is in constant use.
